Hi, I’m Kathy — the maker and designer behind Hear I Am Designs.

I created Hear I Am Designs from my own experiences of living with hearing loss and chronic health conditions. I know first-hand that something as simple as fastening a necklace or putting on a pair of earrings isn’t always easy — but I also know that accessibility shouldn’t mean compromising on your personal style.

I started wearing hearing aids around 15 years ago and initially found them difficult to accept. That changed when I began decorating them with colourful charms and accessories. Instead of wanting to hide my hearing aids, I started celebrating them and making them part of my style.

In 2018, I founded Hear I Am Designs to help others do the same.

Today, I create inclusive jewellery, hearing aid accessories and everyday products designed with individuality, confidence and accessibility in mind. From colourful hearing aid decorations to adaptive jewellery and unique handmade pieces, everything I offer is chosen or created to help make everyday life a little easier — without losing the fun and personality.
